1. BioShock Infinite
BioShock Infinite is an upcoming
first-person shooter video game, and the third game in the BioShock
series. Previously known as "Project Icarus", it is being developed by
Irrational Games for a 2012 release on the Microsoft Windows,
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
BioShock Infinite is not a direct
sequel or prequel to previous BioShock games, taking place in an earlier
period and different setting, though it features similar gameplay
concepts and themes. The player controls a former Pinkerton agent,
Booker DeWitt, as he attempts to rescue a woman named Elizabeth trapped
aboard the collapsing air-city Columbia in 1912.
2. Blacklight: Retribution
Blacklight: Retribution (formerly
Blacklight 2) is a first-person perspective action video game, scheduled
for release on personal computer (PC). On 14 January 2011, Zombie Inc.
revealed that it would be developing the sequel to Blacklight: Tango
Down with a free-to-play business model.
At the 2011 Electronic
Entertainment Expo (E3), the company announced that Perfect World would
publish Blacklight: Retribution.
3. Brothers in Arms: Furious 4
Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 is a video
game in the Brothers in Arms series due for release in the third quarter
of 2012. It is published by Ubisoft and being developed by Gearbox
Software. It was unveiled at E3 2011.
4. Borderlands 2
Borderlands 2 is a science
fiction–based first-person shooter with role-playing-elements and the
sequel to 2009's Borderlands. It is currently under development by
Gearbox Software for the Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
platforms.
The game is expected to be released in 2K's 2013 fiscal year, which begins in April 2012 and ends in March 2013.
5. DmC: Devil May Cry
DmC Devil May Cry is an upcoming action
game developed by Ninja Theory and published by Capcom for the
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It will be the first title in the series to
be developed with such a drastic change to the semblance of what defined
the series: Dante. Another change is that the game will be the result
of a collaboration of three developers with the core development being
handled by the English studio Ninja Theory, while the Japanese and
American branches of Capcom will supervise and cooperate with the
production creatively and logistically.
The game is set in a parallel
universe in the Devil May Cry series. The story tells of a younger Dante
and his journey through the fictitious Limbo City. A city that appears
calm at first, but transforms into a twisted parody of itself with
demons who frequently attempt to kill Dante. Dante will also be fighting
against the ever-changing environment of the city as well.
6. Max Payne 3
Max Payne 3 is an upcoming video game
and the third title in the Max Payne franchise set to be published by
Rockstar Games for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This
is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more
world-weary and cynical than ever. Since the last game, the press
release states Max has left New York City behind and has drifted from
bad to worse. The press release then goes on to say Max has been
double-crossed in this new city and he is searching for the truth and a
way out. The game will be set in São Paulo, Brazil, where Payne is
working in the private security sector for a wealthy local family, set
eight years after the events of the second game. Max Payne now works in
executive protection for the wealthy Rodrigo Branco in the hopes of
escaping the memories of his troubled past. When a street gang kidnaps
Rodrigo’s wife, Max is pulled into a conspiracy of shadowy, warring
factions threading every aspect of São Paulo society in a deadly web
that threatens to engulf everyone and everything around him.
It would be
released latest by May end 2012. So, gear up for it, this summer is
going to be brutal.
7. Dragon's Dogma
Dragon's Dogma is an upcoming
action-adventure game that is being developed by Capcom for the
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game has an open world fantasy setting
and is planned to be released in North America on May 22, 2012, May 25,
2012 in Europe, and sometime in early 2012 for Japan.
The Dragon's Dogma
purchasers for the Xbox 360, will get exclusive first-access to the
Resident Evil 6 Demo.
8. Metro: Last Light
Metro: Last Light is an upcoming
action-oriented video game with a combination of survival horror and
first-person shooter elements. Initially expected to be released in the
summer of 2012, it was announced on February 2, 2012, that the game
would be delayed until the first quarter of 2013.
Previously announced as Metro 2034, the game is a sequel to Metro 2033, and although author Dmitry Glukhovsky has apparently been working with the developers, it bears no relevance to the book Metro 2034.

9. Arma 3
Scheduled for release exclusively for
PC in Q4 2012, Arma 3 will offer a unique sandbox-style combat gameplay
experience in the most detailed environment of the series to-date.
Arma 3 seems to be a game worth the wait. At least if you are looking for games that force your graphics card to work extra hard.
10. Darksiders II
Darksiders II is an upcoming action
adventure video game published by THQ. It is the sequel to Darksiders
and is expected to be released in June 2012.
